Master your skills at our puck fundamentals hockey camps!
Ok, I’ve got the puck . . . now what?!?
There are just three basic puck fundamentals in hockey. Can you name them? As you think about it, are you picturing the moves you’ve seen other players execute? Have you tried to replicate those moves? How did that work out for you? You can learn to master all three puck fundamentals. You just have to know what they are and how to practice them.
I’m not sure how much suspense was built in the above paragraph, but this is where you can check to see if you were right. The three puck fundamentals are:
- Puck handling
- Passing
- Shooting
Everything a player does with the puck falls into these three skills. Our “Puck Fundamentals” course (just one of Action Innovation’s hockey camps available in the Carleton Place, Ontario area) will walk you through these fundamentals and challenge you with increasingly more difficult drills to help you develop your competency in each.
While we can’t give you 10,000 hours of practice, our hockey camps can get you on the right path to improve these skills. To reinforce the proper techniques, the drills we use in our hockey camps build on one another, so that as you gain confidence with each basic skill, you are further challenged by variations and combinations, execution in motion and eventually with game simulation drills.
At Action Innovation, we offer puck fundamentals courses to those in Ottawa, Cumberland, Carleton Place, Osgoode, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec.
