Everyone uses visualization either consciously or unconsciously. However, in order to turn visualization into an effective strategy to improve performance, increase preparation, strengthen confidence, control emotions and aid injury recovery, athletes need to master a conscious style of visualization using a specific technique. During the first session, the six dimensions of imagery are explained and practiced. In the following sessions, athletes learn how to convert instructions into visualization, as well as move their visualization into competitive settings.
